Computer dosen't work... Turns on later past its sell-by date. The green street light is still on.?
My computer dosen't turn on properly. When i turn it on the fan turn on and the lights go on. Like i own green fans more approaching a gaming computer where the fan have lights on them. They turn on and next turn off. The green lantern on the computer is still on, but i can't turn on the computer again unless i unplug it or hold the powerbutton until the green light is sour. I go look inside of the computer and everything looks fine. I afterwards try taking out the harddrive and the computer loads up fine. I try turning it on without the harddrive and later once i plug the harddrive back surrounded by while the computer is loading up, it automatically shuts off again. Then i bring the harddrive to my other computer where on earth i plug it in too. It turns on fine and works. Then i give somebody a lift the other computer's harddrive and put it in mine and it go. It works fine except I don't have any drivers on it and still want to fix my behind the times harddrive.

YOur power supply needs to be upgraded. I would recommend getting a 500w. The reality that the lights are on and everything works on another computer tells me that the power supply any is very underpowered or have went fruitless. Replace it and you should be fine.

Yikes, a floppy?! Who still uses a flopp for anything!? Seriously, yes you could, but most mp3s are at least possible twice as big as a floppy's capacity, and because of the road a floppy reads, I would bet you'd own some significant playback issues: lotta skips as the disk churns around. Just to transfer from one 'puter to another that wouldn't be a problem. But great scot man! Even my antique laptop that runs Windows 98 have a USB port, and for $20 you can get a flash drive that holds a see or more. Don't worry in the region of floppies except as an emergency boot disk!

Can someone give support to me near my Dell computer, Boot menu?
In Dell 8400, during the starting or loading, it say to press F2 for set up or F12 for boot menu. But when I pressed F12, it doesn't show this blue menu like contained by my old Compaq computer. Instead it have only black ground, beside a list axiom my Hard drive (like a list) followed by CD Rom, and Hard drive. Anyways, what I considered necessary to do is change this charge (have to in directive to install Ubuntu 6.10 (it's the DVD version, not disc, so this is a requirement) and I want to put the CD boot first followed by Floppy and after hard drive. How do you amend this? Do you press certain knob to move them? anyone else say this menu (black ground). One other item, it doesn't show any other keym or which key to press within order to if truth be told change anything...gratefulness.

That happens sometimes when your playing some really graphically demanding games. Adjust you computers blind resolution. Right-click on your desktop (or select display from the control panel) and select preferences. Then go into settings and adjust it to around 1280-by-720
Click View -> Text Size -> Increase/Normal/Decrease
Or,
Ctrl++ (hold the control switch and hit the plus key) makes the workbook larger.
Ctrl+- (hold the control key and hit the minus key) make the text smaller.
Ctrl+0 (hold the control switch and hit zero) makes the primer normal size.
Ctrl+scroll mouse rudder

I own a slight bizarre problem with medium player lately, I installed new memory within my PC just over a month ago, and since later when you have medium player play in full blind mode it seems to slow down, but when it's surrounded by a window, it's as smooth as it can grasp, it was smooth within full screen mode when I first installed the memory but since consequently It's started to slow up the Machine ! :(
any ideas would be greatly appreciated
ps: the memory I bought is 512 mb, as to the 256 already installed (768) altogether

I've used an external USBconnected HDD as a backup. Now when I try and access it (I can see it) I win a message that it is not formatted! It is, and as mentioned has adjectives my files on it. How can I gain access to this drive? Thanks for the help

Have you tried installing inside a computer? Might also try Gparted. It'll narrate you whether your disk is properly formatted. Also lets you do fdisk and record recovery.

So i was looking at but window vista home preium. The tool says that it would run fine. But i want to no what have a 64 bit prossesser adds the this.
Im looking at buying a GeForce 8800 GTX, and 2-4 gigs of 1 GHz hit.
Should i buy a 64 bit prosseser? Does it requre a new motherboard?

My external complex drive was surrounded by desperate need to be defragmented and it is singular 30% completed. It has be on for quite awhile and I want to know if it can be put on a standby mode and still do the errand.

Parallels will allow you to run Windows while booted into OS X. The one thing it can not do is anything DirectX - specifically because the OS you are booted into must be able to directly natter to the hardware.
So gaming is out, but running many applications similar to Office, IE, email, etc is fine.

Of course, you can, since these two types of modules are built on impossible to tell apart architecture. By the way, there's a small correction - the RAM running at 100 MHz is call PC-1600 and that running at 133 MHz is called PC-2100.
Both the RAMs would run contained by your PC, but both would run at the lower clock speed of the two - that is 100 MHz (The 133 MHz module will be clocked down to 100 MHz). That won't be much of a concern since a difference of 33 MHz doesn't really event for most applications.

The drastically basic answer is ' No '.
They are two different Systems. The Memory configurations too are also different. But you can use the PC to download and retrieve Media files which you can later on copy to Archos to listen to and see as and when you please.

I own a really old computer beside Windows 98 on it. My son damaged the computer trying to install a team game on it a couple of years ago. I enjoy a 60 GB seagate harddrive in my computer which is divided into two partition of 30 GB each. I notice that when I get into My computer and click on the D: drive a porthole pops up asking me to 'Open with'. So I re-installed windows thinking it be maybe due to some corrupt registry entity. But the problem still persists! I run a registry scan and fixed all the errors found. I can still access the files within the Drive. When I right click the D part of the harddrive I get hold of these:

C,D,E Drive is not initial?

p.s - if you can remove the contents of the autorun folder then they are manifest as read only you can try to remove the read only pick in them or delete the autorun folder.

Yes, if you merely formatted it (and only once) next you can take your rugged drive to a local computer shop, they should be able to recuperate your data for you.
very well if you have xp,2000, or nt consequently just convert the other drive to ntfs. if you are dual booting and enjoy me 98 or 95, you will have to posterior up all the facts and reformat to fat 32.

the satellite provider will transport u a modem and u can most likely use ur current wireless router and no u cant use wireless lacking it ... get over 2ghz processor and roughly 2gigs ram ... and rather get it next to XP with route to upgrade to vista ... u dont want vista at this time trust me ...

Burned CDs?
I own some CDs that were burned from a computer that have a virus on it. If I rip these burned CDs to my new computer, will I be putting the virus on my modern computer?

Scan the CD next to your virus scanner -
AV programs MAY catch the virus. Not any are 100% successful at catching all virus.
As long as you have Avast or AVG installed in the past you do this, you won't have a problem. They will bout entrap the virus and put it into quarantine. Pick one or the other, not both of them.
These are anti viruses and I don't recommend any others.
