Windows Device Manager states that tricky drive is working properly, but Window cannot find it.?

The Device Manager recognize newly installed tough drive and states that it is working properly, but it does not appear in My Computer or Explorer or any disk admin program. Troubleshooter did not help.

Any back would be appreciated. Thanks.

Booting to a disk management program on a disk you could create next to software downloaded from the drive manufacturer and formatting the drive using that may sustain.

Installed correctly?... Shows up in the BIOS as working?... If so... Formatting using a bootable disk should work...

You could create an Ultimate Boot CD which have software for formatting drives from several manufacturers on it. The software normally works fine with drives of other make as well. http://www.ultimatebootcd.com/download.h...
It probably requests to be partitioned and formatted.
You need to produce the drive active. Windows won't do this automatically adjectives the time. This will work for you if your drive shows up in device examiner but isnt assigned a drive letter by window for you to work with.

Go to START > RUN. Type within COMPMGMT.MSC

The specific walkthrough can be found here at microsofts website: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/309000...
