lately reformated and reinstalled windows xp and in a minute my 2nd harddrive is not showing up in my computers, any course that i can get it to show up?
2nd harddrive not showing within my computer?
I'm assuming you imply when you go into My Computer it is individual showing the main intricate drive? If so, try going into My Computer but right click it. Then go to Manage. Then to Disk Management. If it shows the 2nd drive in attendance, it should be listed as Disk D: or something. You will want to look at the middle of that screen and see it also scheduled as Disk 1. Right click on Disk 1 and choose to format the drive using NTFS (if XP). Once it's done formatting, go spinal column into My Computer and see if it shows up.
Check in control panel/administrative tools/computer management/logical disk organization, see if it shows there. You may hold removed it's partition during the install.
Do you set up the complicated disks (1 should be master 1 should be slave) correctly? From what i know you can set it up by using the grey cables (no concept what is is call) or by using the jumpers on the tough disks
If it is connected properly jumpers set right, you may obligation to update the driver and run add hardware wizard.
Right click on My Computer, click on Manage. Find the Storage devices nouns and then repartition and format the drive. You may own to reboot after that. It also may take a while if it is a big drive.
