AMD Athlon X2 3800+ or Pentium D 925?

I own a choice between the athlon dual-core x2 3800+ (2.0 ghz) and the pentium D dual-core 925 (3.00 ghz). Although the pentium D is higher clocked, I enjoy heard that AMD processors are still faster and that the D creates much bake. Which is better for moderate 3D gaming?

ps- Does dual core mean that the 3800+ is 4.0 ghz? Because my AMD Turion X2 Dual Core Mobile TL-56 processor is 1.8 but is clocked at 3.63 for some explanation.

AMD Athlon X2 3800+ or Pentium D 925?

I would go for the 3800+.

If you ever want to compare processors, go to this chart

Dual core ability that there are two cores within that one chip. It doesn't mean that it's 4 ghz effectively, but here are two 2 ghz dies on the chip. Hopefully that made sense, I can't think right immediately. This leaves two cores open for calculation, so one core might be able to work on playing a movie while the other core would be capable of work on something else, instead of it all going onto one core.
the faster the processor the smoother the activity play

i would recommend intel

intel inside
Amd's are actually better, but since that intel is alot faster i would walk with that, u purely gots to make sure u own the right socket
AMD all the style... have have nothing but AMD and proud to say aloud it!
